Role: Chef de Partie (full time – 40 hours per week)
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. Rockliffe Hall offers 61 luxury guest bedrooms, three bespoke restaurants, an award-winning spa and championship 18-hole golf course. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals.
The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):
Monitor the quality and presentation of all food served to ensure that it is up to Rockliffe’s 5 star standard
Plan and place orders to selected food suppliers on a daily and weekly basis to ensure stock availability
Check all fridges to ensure they are stocked with the necessary ingredients in preparation for service and highlight any stock shortages to a senior chef
Be able to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure, to willingly undertake any tasks when requested by a senior member of the team
Be creative in order to help with suggestions on new menus and dish ideas
Train, coach and aid the development of junior chefs within the kitchen
The ideal candidate will have Chef de Partie experience in working in high standard hotel environment and will have a passion for driving the team forward.
