Chef de Rang / Host Full Time

Rockliffe Hall, the only AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England, is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. Rockliffe Hall offers 61 luxury guest bedrooms, three bespoke restaurants, an award-winning spa and championship 18-hole golf course. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Host / Chef de Rang to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals.

This role requires Host cover for 16 hours per week and 24 hours as a Chef de Rang.

The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):

• Greet and seat guests as they arrive.
• Take bookings and amend booking.
• Ensure that our guests are provided with a friendly, professional and unobtrusive service during their dining experience.
• Ensure your product knowledge is sufficient and appropriate for a 5 star venue operation.
• Provide higher levels of guest service by operating the department in absence of managers and supervisors.
• Assist the Managers and supervisors with the training of every Old Hall team members.
• Provide focus, direction and co-ordination to the team to ensure that the guest journey is seamless, and delivers the 5 star experience

The ideal candidate will have Chef de Rang experience within a 5* hotel and will have a passion for driving the team forward.
