Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. Rockliffe Hall offers 61 luxury guest bedrooms, bespoke restaurants including our 3AA Rosette Orangery restaurant, an award-winning spa and championship 18-hole golf course. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Front of House Manager to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals.
The Front of House Manager at Rockliffe Hall is an integral member of the Guest Services Team, working closely with both the Night Manager, Head Concierge and Reception Manager ensuring a smooth and seamless service is provided to all guests. The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):
Review data including occupancy statistics, room inventory, and 30 Day availability to pre-empt staffing and awareness of what’s on.
Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure all Reception and Reservations team are cross trained and can support each other when the business requires.
Agree revenue targets with the Revenue Manager for the Front of House Team and communicate these targets to the team and manage their achievements of the agreed targets
Lead the Front of House team by displaying a strong commercial awareness to maximise sales to a 5 red star service standard
Communicate with all departments across the Resort to ensure all bookings are correct and confirmed.
Oversee the running of the operation during the day, including training, assisting where needed and handling guest questions/queries
Actively interact with guests including greeting, welcoming and helping them along their customer journey.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of three years Front of House Manager experience
Experience working as a Front of House Manager in a high standard hotel environment
Experience using Opera (Oracle Hospitality) system
Experience using TripAdvisor and/or Revinate
