Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. We are a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and winner of the Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year 2017. Rockliffe Hall offers 61 luxury guest bedrooms, bespoke restaurants including our 3AA Rosette Orangery restaurant, an award-winning spa and championship 18-hole golf course. We are currently seeking to recruit a Night Manager to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals.
The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):
Leading the Duty Management procedure when on shift and supporting all departments when in this role
Continually improving the guest experience by analysing feedback from the comment cards and correspondence receiving by previous guests
Develop the existing team and provide accurate training on booking systems and departmental efficiencies.
Preparation of all departing bills ensuring all revenue is captured and protected.
Responsible for the Front of House Teams Health and Safety training, and completing monthly audit forms.
Complete a 2 day correspondence check for guest arrivals to ensure that all elements of their stay are up to date and accurate.
Preparation of the ‘Daily Business Overview Sheet’ ready for internal meetings the following day.
To carry out regular on-the-job training and monitor performance to ensure the agreed standards are being met
To assist guests with their luggage.
To provide a seamless valet service; parking and retrieving guests’ vehicles when required.
Dealing with any guest requests and requirements positively and efficiently, this may include hiring transport, recommending restaurants, arranging flights and booking theatre tickets.
Take reservations for the resort accurately and courteously in the absence of the Resort Reservations Team
The ideal candidate will have experience within the hospitality industry and will have a passion for driving the team forward. Experience working in a 5* Hotel would be an advantage but is not essential.
As you may be required to drive company vehicles you will be required to hold a full clean driving licence.
