We are looking for a passionate & skilled restaurant manager to join HRiSHi at the Gilpin, our Michelin Star, four AA Rosette restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the dynamic Team Gilpin.
About you –
This is a career role. You will be working with an ambitious Executive Chef / F&B Manager who greatly believes in the arts of table service.
You will be supported by the dynamic Gilpin Executive Team throughout.
You will be a calming presence to the team, help in training, motivating and build the team in the arts of table service.
Be exceptional at hospitality, a talented host, and an astute reader of guests.
You will be aspirational! The entire HRiSHi kitchen and FOH team want to push for awards and high accolades and you will be a major contributor to deliver that vision.
You must be confident in running the floor and well versed in understanding guest requirements.
You should be able to handle guest issues efficiently and make sound decisions.
You must be able to demonstrate high-quality service to the team by setting good examples through great training.
You should be eager to understand Gilpin’s SOPs (standard operating procedures), actively taking part in analysing them, editing and creating new ones where necessary to enhance the service offering by training the team on the edited SOP’s. This will be overseen by the Exec Team
You should be able to understand budgets and should be able to work with the Finance Director along with the Exec Chef to meet the target requirements.
You must be able to execute good rotas covering all the aspects of the hotel without too much pressure on the team.
Team Gilpin is a huge family; everyone is a contributor to the success of the hotel. You should be able to work with the family and team, always showing respect and support for other departments.
You should be able to set extremely high standards in all areas (dress, discipline, training) to your team members.

Training is hugely important within the hotel and we have a great intranet and training system in place to help us with this, as well as working with Kendal College for those members of our team that wish to take specific qualifications.
