To ensure standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen areas and equipment are to the highest order and to wherever possible exceed local authority requirements
To carry out deep cleaning as require and in-line with company guidelines
To inform the Head Kitchen Porter (or in their absence the Head Chef) of any stock and equipment requirements for your section to ensure that you operate at maximum efficiency
To ensure that crockery, cutlery and equipment are clean and ready for restaurant service
To assist with the control of food to reduce wastage in line with agreed kitchen targets
To assist with basic food preparation and production of staff meals as required
To manage the emptying of bins and waste in the kitchen and the cleanliness of the external refuse bins as required
