We are looking for an Operations Analyst to join an experienced team of leading hospitality
professionals. The role may involve occasional travel around the UK and Europe as required. It’s a great opportunity to get hands on experience in supporting management of all elements of hotel operations. A hybrid working option can be discussed and the position can be based in London or within travelling distance to London. The owning company operates hotels in UK and Europe, so this role has potential to grow.
• The preferred candidate will be a graduate from a recognized hotel or business school with
a minimum of 1-2 years of working experience/internship(s) in a hotel management company,
consulting firm or any other business related to the hospitality industry.
• We expect candidates to possess strong analytical skills, and it is vital that candidates are
self-starters with extremely strong self-motivation and desire to learn and grow quickly.
Candidates should be competent in reading hotel related information and financial data, conducting in-depth research, preparing financial models, and writing reports. Additionally, we expect candidates to have strong verbal and written skills, with fluency in English and a second language preferred (French), although not required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Compiling reports relating to the operational activities of the hotels to drive revenues,
maximise efficiency and encourage cost management.
• Reporting to the VP Operations and Cluster General Manager to ensure support effective
operational compliance, compiling of various daily, weekly and monthly reports, as well as the
implementation of new projects across different hotels.
• Carrying out and presenting well structured, in-depth internal and market research.
• Assisting in preparing financial models, including P&L analysis and other company metrics.
• Supporting in presenting detailed, yet concise written reports.
• Formatting all deliverables, in both MS Word and Excel, to the highest standard.
• Creating engaging and informative Power Point presentations.
• Assisting in analysing hotel performance and assisting in on short-term and long-term
business strategies with guidance from VP Operations and above-property teams.
• Supporting the team in the monthly financial and operational reporting within the scope of
the operations management and hotel management projects.
• Assisting the team in collaborating with relevant parties to drive improvements in key industry
indicators, such as occupancies and average rates.
• Working closely with the Vice President Operations / Cluster General Manager, compiling
operational strategies and results and support presentation to ownership and key stakeholders.
• Support in Month-end reporting:
→ Financial analysis summary of the month
→ Financial analysis per department
→ Financial analysis on YTD and FY Outlook
→ Commercial highlights
→ Business on the Books (Short-Term Outlook)
→ Operations Update (e.g. HR, guest reviews, etc.)
→ Social Media Update
• Month-end P&L analysis and queries for the hotel.
• Forecast analysis and recommendations.
• Assists in the introduction and implementation of new systems (i.e. upselling tools, Guest
Review platform, BI Systems, financial tools), including training hotel staff on how to use
these systems.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
• Minimum of 1-2 years hospitality experience.
• Excellent Excel knowledge.
• Ability to analyse financial data to present strategic/tactical options. A systematic, disciplined,
and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written skills with fluency in English and preferably a second language
(French), although secondary language is not a must.
• High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point. Power BI will be an added advantage.
